There's an old saying, "How do you eat an entire elephant? One bite at a time!" That's what I'm trying to do. Just take one day at a time and eventually I'll get to the Gulf of Mexico.

I slept well last night, but my sleep schedule is still on river time. I was awake at 5:00 am. My stomach is still in river mode too. I finished off the leftover pizza from last night's supper.

When I finally did get up I discovered that my kayak, life jacket, and spray skirt were all completely covered in dead and dying mayflies. What a mess!
